
Rugby gamers, coaches and workers are actually safer working on the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) after adjustments have been made following "poisonous" tradition findings, in response to an equality watchdog.
The Equality and Human Rights Fee (EHRC) mentioned the union had "put within the onerous yards" and made enhancements to the way in which it dealt with harassment and discrimination.
A 3 uncovered allegations of sexism and misogyny on the WRU, prompting an impartial investigation which backed up the claims.
The WRU mentioned it had "launched a sequence of proactive measures" to enhance its tradition.
An impartial evaluation in 2023 discovered features of the tradition on the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) have been sexist, misogynistic, racist and homophobic – and never correctly challenged.
Some staff described the office as "poisonous".

"Since then, the WRU have put within the onerous yards to verify the organisation is a safer place to work. There are actually higher procedures in place to guard workers from harassment and discrimination, and way more efficient methods for workers to boost issues within the first place.
"By legislation, employers should take cheap steps to guard their workers from sexual harassment and discrimination. We is not going to hesitate to behave the place we see organisations failing to uphold their duties below the Equality Act."
The EHRC mentioned the enhancements made included:
- Obligatory sexual harassment coaching for all managers
- A standardised system for discrimination and harassment complaints
- Up to date sexual harassment danger assessments

It added it had ended its legally-binding settlement with the WRU due to the progress the union had made.
