Since taking on for the USC Trojans as beginning quarterback, Jayden Maiava has needed to always show himself. Nonetheless, even after a big sufficient pattern measurement, specialists usually are not shopping for into him as a prime quarterback within the 2027 NFL Draft.
In a current article, author Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz gives his early 2027 NFL first-round mock draft, and it doesn’t embody USC Trojan quarterback Jayden Maiava. Middlehurst-Schwartz has 5 quarterbacks he believes can be taken earlier than Jayden Maiava, certainly one of which is one other Huge Ten quarterback, Dante Moore.

Jayden Maiava, albeit being 2nd within the nation in passing yards and persistently producing like an elite quarterback, nonetheless will get missed. The remainder of the season will clearly play an enormous function in his draft inventory. Nevertheless, Jayden Maiava has 1 season and a half of pattern measurement main an explosive offense. That’s after dropping 2 NFL-caliber receivers.
Each single sport, he makes an NFL-level throw. He has proven he can battle adversity, and he can present up in huge video games. He has a victory on the street in opposition to Penn State and a signature Huge Ten win in opposition to Iowa now on his resume. He’s a quarterback that Lincoln Riley has the utmost confidence in. There’s not a throw he cannot make.
I consider he has proven sufficient to be thought-about a late first-round draft choose. He has confirmed greater than quarterbacks who’re getting checked out solely due to this system they play in and their identify.
Proper now, as issues stand, there’s a nice likelihood that Jayden Maiava will find yourself being one of many largest steals for a franchise needing a quarterback. It is going to be enjoyable to see him enhance his inventory the remainder of the season and create some actual buzz for him being a Heisman candidate.
