Arvid de Kleijn has had a terrible year. After suffering a complicated collarbone fracture, he learned that his father had terminal cancer. De Kleijn says that “they had probably been drinking, or even more. It was impossible to talk to them, and when I decided to ride away on a bicycle, they started touching me. One of them, who was riding a fat-wheeled bicycle on the right rear, suddenly hit me, knocking me unconscious. It turned out that my nose was broken… Luckily, there were people who saw it and they stopped nine of them. They also helped me up. Unfortunately, the one who hit me left quickly and has not yet been found. “The trial will drag on, but I’m glad they won’t get away with it so easily.”
