“It’s something incredible, I feel privileged in this team. It’s incredible to be able to be in this situation,” said the UAE rider, Pogacar’s teammate, who this Sunday added his fifth victory in the Tour.
“We are great teammates. He has brought out the best in me in recent years and this last week in the Tour has helped me a lot,” he said.
On the question of whether he feels like Pogacar’s successor, he stated: “It is difficult to know how the future will go, we will see. It is a great responsibility, you have to enjoy life and give your best. If I get 1% of what he has, I can already be very satisfied.”
