Why he suffers in Assen
“Because it is a circuit where maximum force is used, especially in changes of direction. When it comes to braking, straight, I feel good, but if you make many changes of direction without gas… with gas you can accompany yourself with the engine and you can facilitate them by inertia, by skidding with your rear and this can make your life easier, but when they are changes of direction without gas, and especially when cornering from left to right, I suffer a lot. At the moment, I am not able to do it, because I come from “I left, I jump to the right to brake and my body goes forward and when I went on instinct on Friday morning, I fell. That gave me a warning. Here are three of those changes where I have to be careful.”

“You’ve seen it. It rises and then you have to play with the gas, so that it touches the front wheel and picks up speed. From zero to the braking point is much more difficult and more inconstant, I won’t say more dangerous because if they don’t get on me, but for me yes, it is more dangerous up to that point. The braking point is much more natural and this makes it safer and, above all, the entry point to the curve, because the braking is more natural, you gain security at a point. Starting with the next race, when we have more distance between the lines, it is something that I don’t like, because I like the first corner and it is one of the things that I take advantage of, I always put myself there like a shingle, but it is true that you gain confidence, everything will arrive more spaced out.”
