The Emirati Alí Hussain Alnowais wins the MARCA Trophy twice

The rider from the United Arab Emirates, who had been second in the two tests of the same category on the first day, came out determined on Saturday morning to make the leap to first place and achieved it in both. The MARCA Trophy, held against a stopwatch over 1.15 meter obstacles, was won by “King Leon Z”, with a time of 62.96, while The second classified, the Spanish Alejandra Masoliver, spent 64’16 with “Sevilla de Villafranca”. Third place went to Anna Sanchez Sola with “Quialina D” (66’21).

In the 1’25 MARCA Trophy, Ali Hussain Alnowais was the best of the 40 participants riding “Etoile de la Roche”, with whom he made zero over the obstacles and stopped the clock at 60’63 seconds. Next, a Portuguese rider and a veteran Portuguese rider qualified: Teresa Catela was second with “Billy Mufasa” (62’39) and third, Eduardo Netto de Almeida with “Clinton du Temple”. Juan Ignacio Álvarez Fermosel was fourth with “Geniale Moriniere” and fifth, and best Spanish, Noelia Bayarri with “Erdeven du Tertre”.

The second day of LGCT 115 CSI Madrid continues on Saturday afternoon with two new tests, both from CSI5*. The first, the EULEN Trophy and the second, the prestigious HM the King Cup, Caser Grupo Helvetia Trophy. During this last test, the ceremony will take place in which Luis Astolfi Pérez de Guzmán will be awarded the gold medal of the Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation.
