Barcelona continues to work at full speed with the aim of conclude the works on the Spotify Camp Nou as soon as possible. Having the stadium fully operational is vital for the club, as it generates key income to regain economic stability and be able to sign at the same level as the big European clubs. The forecast is that the works will be completed at the end of 2027 or at the beginning of 2028.
However, The club will have to dig deep into its pockets considerably. and plans to request new credit to complete the works. At the moment, It is estimated that around 400 million euros will be necessary to cover all pending construction needs. For this reason, the entity will request new financing that could be even higher than that amount, given the possibility that unforeseen events arise and it is necessary to have more resources.

This credit would mean an extension of the one that the club has already requested from Goldman Sachs to finance the construction of the Espai Barçafor which nearly 1.5 billion euros have already been received. The entity was aware that this situation could occur and that the initially planned costs could increase. For this reason, the possibility of extending the original credit was left open.

Now it remains to determine the final amount of the operation and present it to the Members’ Assembly for approvalsince an operation of this magnitude requires the support of partners. The date for the Assembly in which this proposal must be voted on has not yet been set.
One of the options being considered is include this matter on the agenda of the Assembly in which the new Board of Directors must be ratified. Laporta is scheduled to take office again on July 1, so the Assembly could be held a few days later. At this time, the club is evaluating all these issues.
