In the last few hours, a British tabloid has published a Adrain Newey’s alleged health problemcurrent team leader and technical director of Aston Martin. According to this information, the head of Fernando Alonso’s team would have been irecently admitted to a hospital, to be treated and that is why he could not, supposedly, be present at the MIami GP.
‘Daily Mail’ also published that the engineer would now be developing his job from his homeeven though Miami was a place I planned to go to to see first-hand the reliability solutions introduced by Honda and because since Australia (March) it has not been to any Grand Prix this year.
According to the communications department of the British squad, this story would not be true, since it is stated, “Aston Martin does not comment on personal matters related to any of the team members. Adrian is working and was on campus last week”they point directly to MARCA.
Nor is it denied that he is now at home and weeks ago, he has not had a health problem, which fortunately would not be serious if he has returned to work so quickly in his office at the Aston Martin Technological Campus in Silverstone.
In 2021, Newey suffered a serious accident while riding a bicycle, of which no details were given and of which his wife, Amanda, published a note on Instagram that same year. “He is not on social networks. However, after the year we have lived through, I want to give him public recognition. In August, I nearly lost the love of my life after his bicycle accident. “He suffered multiple skull fractures.”
