Robin Raikkonen, the son of 2007 Components 1 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen, will be a part of the Purple Bull Junior Programme in 2027.
The infant Räikkönen has been in karting since early childhood and has already achieved success in nationwide and worldwide Rotax and WSK championships.
The 11-year-old, who can be identified by the nickname ‘Ace’, was deemed as “some of the promising younger abilities of his era”.

Talking on Raikkonen becoming a member of the Junior programme, Crew Principal of Purple Bull Racing, Laurent Mekies, stated: “Our aim is to develop him step-by-step, with out putting any pointless strain on his shoulders. The trail via motorsport is a protracted one, and we are going to give him the time, assist and sources he must maximise his potential.”
The newest World Drivers’ Champion for Ferrari, Kimi Räikkönen, additionally commented on his son becoming a member of the programme, saying: “Purple Bull’s Junior Crew has had years of unimaginable success. Its alumni embody Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen amongst many others. In 2010, the elder Räikkönen competed within the World Rally Championship for the Citroën Junior Crew, which was closely backed by Purple Bull.
