LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ottawa Senators ahead Hayden Hodgson obtained a sport misconduct and main penalty for boarding Los Angeles Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke on Thursday evening.
Hodgson took a run at Clarke, charging in at 21 mph in response to the sport broadcast. Clarke was just under the purpose line when he was pushed into the boards. The hit prompted a short scrum, and the Kings’ Erik Haula obtained a two-minute penalty for roughing Hodgson.
