The World Cup MotoGP will continue visiting MotorLand Aragon. At least in 2027. This has been ratified today, in Zaragoza, after an agreement between the Government of Aragon and MotoGP, where the renewal has been sealed.
In fact, the deal includes the Alcañiz facility becoming official reserve circuit from 2028 to 2031.
Carmelo EzpeletaCEO of MotoGP, highlighted the good harmony with the Aragonese. “MotorLand Aragón has been a important partner for MotoGP for almost two decades, playing a key role in the presence of the championship in Spain. The renewal for 2027 reflects both the strength of that collaboration and the value that the event brings to the region. “We are very happy to continue working together and that Aragón will continue to be part of the MotoGP family in the coming years as a reserve circuit,” he indicated.

Jorge Azconpresident of the Aragonese Executive, was pleased with the continuity. “We are pleased to confirm that the Aragon Grand Prix will return next year. The motorcycles will roar again at the Alcañiz circuit in 2027. MotorLand will also remain linked to MotoGP between 2028 and 2031 as a reserve venue,” it said.
Goodbye to Balaton Park
Aragón’s entry in 2027 was in question due to the arrival of new circuits, but doubts or problems with some have influenced it. It is the case of Balaton Parkwhich, according to the Diario de Teruel, will not continue in 2027. In 2028, the entry of Hungaroringin Budapest, after its reform, and would return the Hungarian GP. If it were possible, MotorLand is already in the chamber.
