Bodø is a troublesome place to go, as proven by what number of huge groups have struggled on their travels to the north of Norway. Nonetheless, it was Dortmund’s drab, lifeless efficiency (at the least within the first hour) which was most disappointing. BVB struggled to create something in any respect within the first half, they usually had been caught chilly after the break, as Fredrik Sjøvold gave Bodø/Glimt a lead that Dortmund wouldn’t be capable to catch.
Niko Kovač’s subs on the hour made a giant distinction, however it was too little too late. Dortmund wanted to point out the identical thrust they confirmed within the last half hour for the total 90 minutes. It’s a disappointing outcome, however efficiency was most likely extra disappointing. Hopefully BVB set issues proper in opposition to Union Berlin over the weekend.
Listed here are your nominations for Man of the Match in Dortmund’s 1-0 loss to Bodø/Glimt:
Waldemar Anton
I really thought Anton had a very good recreation. He was stable defensively and was key in what little offense Dortmund created earlier than the hour. He was certainly one of few starters who got here away from this recreation with their head held excessive.
Felix Nmecha
Nmecha got here on on the hour mark, together with Serhou Guirassy, Ethan Nwaneri, and Julian Ryerson. All 4 had been a big improve, and Dortmund appeared a lot improved within the last half hour. Nmecha gave the offense much more impetus, and possibly deserved some reward for his efforts.
Julian Ryerson
Very like Nmecha, Ryerson’s involvement made BVB look way more harmful. He offered way more menace out large than Daniel Svensson provided within the first hour.
Jobe Bellingham
Jobe was certainly one of few BVB gamers making an attempt to make one thing occur within the first hour, and he linked up effectively with the subs once they introduced some power to Dortmund’s offense.
