On June 1, 1986, the former Real Madrid player scored one of the no goals in the history of Spanish football. In the opening match of the World Cup in Mexico, Míchel hit a volley from a corner that hit the crossbar before scoring into the goal, a phantom goal that never went up on the scoreboard and that 40 years later is part of Spain’s black history in the World Cups.
