Nikola Kalinic starred in a tremendous fight in the Serbian league in the second game of the quarterfinal series that Red Star is playing against Zlatibor. The veteran player ended up on the ground after defending a penetration by Matej Cibej with whom he got tangled and whom he grabbed with an almost wrestling hold, first, and then he hit. That’s when a brawl began between players from both teams.
Kalinic was sent off from the match along with Dejan Davidovac and Ebuka Izundu, all three from Red Star. Cibej, Stefan Savic and Terens Hunter also left early. Zlatibor ended up winning 94-89, tying the series. At the end of the match, Kalinic continued arguing with fans as he left the small pavilion.
