After considerably intense hypothesis, the Atlanta Braves r to begin Recreation 1 of the NLDS.
The Atlanta Braves, who’ve gained the 2026 NL East Division title and brushed apart the Philadelphia Phillies within the Wild Card spherical, have chosen Dylan Dodd to begin the playoff sport right this moment. As you seemingly already know Chris Sale and Brent Suter will seemingly not pitch till Video games 2 and three respectively, and Grant Holmes pitched almost one time by means of the order on Thursday. The Braves have ten different choices and have selected Dylan Dodd.
Dylan Dodd has a 2.54/3.83/3.94 line in 49 and a pair of/3 innings this season. He hasn’t began a sport since 2023, when the Braves thought of him a pitching prospect. His numbers in that stretch are horrifying (7.60/6.92/6.50 over 34 and 1/3 innings) however that’s not almost reflective of the work he has performed since. His longest outing since his beginning days was 3 and a pair of/3 innings in Houston on September thirteenth, 2025. The sinker and cutter have been fairly good this season.
I don’t hate this. Dylan Dodd gained’t get misplaced within the second. Each Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman are huge lefties on the high of the lineup. The Braves appear to view the opener function as a reliever who can pitch as much as 3 innings. So we might even see Dylan for 13 batters right this moment if all goes properly. Please, go properly.
