Olek Balcerowski ends his time at Unicaja. The Malaga team announced this Monday the agreement reached with the Polish center to terminate his contract, thus closing a relationship that began in the summer of 2024 and that leaves an important collective record. Once his departure is confirmed, it will be a matter of time before his arrival at Barcelona is made official, as has been reported in recent days.
The Polish international arrived at Martín Carpena from Panathinaikos with the intention of strengthening the interior game of Ibon Navarro’s team. During his two seasons as a cajista player, he played a total of 105 official games, in which he averaged 7.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 8.1 rating credits.
Beyond his numbers, Balcerowski was part of one of the most successful stages in Unicaja’s recent history. With the green shirt he won five titles: a Copa del Rey, a Basketball Champions League, an Endesa Super Cup and two FIBA Intercontinental Cups.
With this agreement, both parties separate their paths and the Polish center is free to face a new professional challenge. Unicaja wanted to publicly thank the professionalism shown by the player during his stay in Malaga and wished him the best of luck both in his sporting career and on a personal level.
