The second week of Alabama’s high school football season has concluded, delivering exciting matchups and decisive victories across both AHSAA and AISA divisions throughout the state.

Thursday’s limited nine-game schedule featured the highly anticipated Auburn-Opelika crosstown rivalry as the marquee attraction. Friday’s expanded slate showcased several compelling region openers, including Hewitt-Trussville’s victory over Vestavia Hills and Saraland’s dominant performance against Gulf Shores.

The following comprehensive scoreboard captures all completed games from Thursday and Friday’s action across Alabama:

Abbeville Christian defeated Crenshaw Christian 36-14, while Addison dominated Shoals Christian 68-8. Alabama Christian secured a convincing 45-8 victory over Northside Methodist, and Alexandria overwhelmed White Plains 41-6.

Notable performances included American Christian’s 21-7 win against West Blocton, Andalusia’s 36-15 triumph over Headland, and Anniston’s decisive 43-14 victory against Ashville. Appalachian edged Locust Fork in a thrilling 42-39 contest.

Arab claimed a 21-15 victory over Sardis, while Ariton demolished Houston County 56-14. Athens narrowly defeated Cullman 41-38 in an offensive showcase, and Austin dominated Sparkman 29-7.

Baker shut out Davidson 42-0, Banks Academy blanked Bessemer Academy 32-0, and Bayside Academy rolled past Orange Beach 42-13. Belgreen posted a shutout victory over Tharptown 34-0.

Benjamin Russell handled Calera 42-13, Berry outgunned Marion County 68-42, and Bessemer City defeated Brookwood 42-14. Bibb County dominated Tarrant 49-20, while Blount secured a 32-0 shutout against Murphy.

Bob Jones delivered an impressive 54-7 victory over James Clemens, and Brantley edged Pleasant Home 6-0 in a defensive struggle. BTW-Tuskegee defeated Talladega 19-6, while Bullock County overcame St. James 31-14.

Additional standout results included Calhoun’s 20-14 victory over Pike Liberal Arts, Carver-Birmingham’s 32-16 win against John Carroll, and Carver-Montgomery’s 34-6 triumph over JAG.
