The Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, who before traveling to Monte Carlo participated in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in Nîmes, answered several quick questions to a journalist at the foot of the court. In one of them they asked him if he preferred his girlfriend to be a tennis player or not.
The Greek tennis player then admitted that “I prefer my girlfriend not to play tennis. Believe me. Even if you don’t want to admit that there is competitiveness, there always is.”
After these statements appeared on social networks, Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa, Tsitsipas’ ex-partner, responded to the publication with four emoticons of very smiling faces. The relationship between both tennis players ended last summer.
Later, Badosa admitted on the YouTube channel of the Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur that “I got used to having a lot of drama around me (…). The energy in which I was immersed in these last few years was not correct. But you don’t see it until you see it.”
