Pink Bull has formally introduced Gianpiero Lambiase’s alternative for the 2027 Formulation 1 season and past.
Earlier this season, F1 was rocked by the information of Lambiase’s exit from the Milton Keynes squad. The Briton, who has been Max Verstappen’s long-time race engineer, confirmed he would make the change to McLaren by 2028.
While the transfer began hypothesis surrounding Verstappen’s future, the Dutchman confirmed his long-term future with the group, asserting a contract extension till 2030, forward of his ultimate residence race on the Dutch Grand Prix.
Importantly, Pink Bull has confirmed a brand new signing to fill Lambiase’s sneakers following his departure. The outfit has signed Tom McCullough as its new head of racing, bringing a wealth of expertise from throughout the Formulation 1 grid to Milton Keynes.
“We’re delighted to welcome Tom to the group in the beginning of 2027. And look ahead to the wealth of expertise and experience he’ll deliver to the function,” Pink Bull confirmed in a quick assertion.
With stints with Aston Martin and its predecessors, Drive India and Racing Level, McCullough’s repute precedes him. It marks a pivotal second for the group, who’ve misplaced a number of key personnel over the previous seasons. McCullough’s intensive expertise may show very important.
