This Wednesday, after holding his annual meeting with the monarch before the start of the holiday period, Pedro Sánchez appeared before the media, where he was asked about the possibility of returning next year to the institutional event, taking into account that the general elections must be held first. “That’s my mood“, responded the Chief Executive, making clear his desire to continue leading the Government after the elections.
Pedro Sánchez recalled that the only certainty is that the next general elections will be held in 2027, as indicated in the planned calendar, and insisted that his objective is “continue on task” and renew the confidence of citizens to remain in office.
During the appearance, journalists also asked him about the start of his summer vacation. The President of the Government explained that he will try to rest in the coming days, although he clarified that first he will continue to monitor the evolution of the forest fires that affect different parts of Spain.
Before concluding his speech, Pedro Sánchez wished the media representatives a good summer rest and reiterated, in a relaxed tone, his intention to return next summer to Palma de Mallorca as President of the Government: “And we’ll see you next time or, at least, I’ll try.“.
