Lamine Yamal He continues his recovery process in order to arrive in the best possible conditions for the World Cup. Meanwhile, he made a new episode on his YouTube channel in which he answered questions from fans. He explained the reasons why he wears a bandage on his hand and also admitted that it was positive that Dembélé won the Ballon d’Or.
Bandage
“Well, one day, while playing Play, I hit the TV and my fingers became very swollen. So I bandaged them. And then I realized that they looked good on me, like Benzema, and I decided to leave them on.”
Ballon d’Or
“The truth is, if I’m honest, I thought I was going to win it that day because of many things that had happened. I think it was very good for me that Dembélé won it. Beyond having helped me grow personally, I don’t think it was the right time for me, because I was still a child and I probably wouldn’t have appreciated what winning a Ballon d’Or really means. We’ll see if this year is mine.”
Relationship with Dembélé
“Ousmane and I get along very well. I’ve spent time with him, we’ve talked a lot and he even asked me the other day how I was. Since then (the Ballon d’Or ceremony), I’ve matured and changed a lot of things in my life. I’m very happy that he won it. We were also together at the Dubai awards and it shows that we have a great relationship. We still talk from time to time…”
Underrated players
“Gerard Martín is an underrated player; Fabián Ruiz and Merino, too. A case like that was Müller (from Bayern Munich). How is Palmer going to be undervalued, if he wears number 10 at Chelsea and came ninth in the Ballon d’Or?”
Promise if he wins the World Cup
“I grew a beard and mustache… I left them for three weeks.”
