Getting a triple-double just isn’t a standard factor for any NBA participant, and fewer so for rookies. Getting one this early within the season is even rarer.
The final rookie to get a triple-double by his fifth sport was Lonzo Ball, who turned the trick for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017-18.
Nicely, Cameron Boozer pulled it off in opposition to Portland Thursday night time. The previous Duke star completed with 18 factors, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists in opposition to the Path Blazers.
It’s nonetheless early, however at this level, it’s arduous to argue that Boozer isn’t the main candidate for Rookie of the Yr.
Extra importantly, the Memphis Grizzlies are actually 5-0.
