The good news appears regarding Carlos Alcaraz. The Cincinnati Masters 1000 (August 8 to 23) made public the list of players who will participate in this year’s edition, and the current number three in the world appears in it.
Although the Spaniard has not yet confirmed his presence, everything indicates that his return to the courts will take place in the second Masters 1000 of the American hard court tour. Alcaraz is the current champion of the Cincinnati competition, so he defends 1,000 points after beating Jannik Sinner in last year’s final.
It will be his first tournament appearance since his wrist injury against Otto Virtanen in the first round of the Conde de Godó in Barcelona on April 14.
