Today is one of the worst days of my life. I am injured again after a very complicated year, in which pubalgia won many battles for me, but not the war. I managed to overcome it with work, sacrifice and, above all, responsibility.
It was a year and a half of suffering, sadness, uncertainty and anxiety. He didn’t know when he would play again without pain or when he would regain a normal life. I came to live with pain in things as simple as going to the bathroom, getting in and out of the car or simply enjoying everyday life.
Being happy again playing football was my biggest priority, along with recovering my smile. Because without a smile, without enjoying and without being happy, I cannot perform at the highest level.
I got over it. Then an injury to my ischium appeared, which put me to the test again. Once again I stopped smiling, but I wasn’t going to stop either.
Yesterday I was injured again after an action in which a colleague acted out of frustration, discontent and sadness over the situation he was going through. It was a move that, in my opinion, could have been avoided because it was completely unnecessary.
But this isn’t going to stop me either. I know that God has a plan for me and I will continue fighting until the last moment to return to doing what I love most: playing football, being happy and giving a lot of joy.
