Alberto Herreros has joined the Toledo Basketball Club project. The legendary former player will try to help the growth of a club that is only one year old and that has played this season in the West group of the Second FEB, finishing ninth with a balance of 14 wins and 12 losses.
After a great career as a player, Herreros moved to the offices. In 2005 he gave the ACB League to Real Madrid with an unforgettable triple in the final against Baskonia and then he joined the sports management of the white club, where he remained until last summer. In those 20 years he won three Euroleagues, nine Leagues, seven Cups, nine Super Cups, one Intercontinental and one ULEB.
Herreros had a great career as a player. In the ACB he played 17 seasons between Estudiantes and Real Madrid, accumulating 654 games and 9,759 points, making him the top scorer in the history of the competition.
Among the first decisions that he will have to make at the head of the Toledo Basketball Club is the hiring of a new coach after the departure of Sergio Vicente.
