“The NHL mourns the passing of Claude Lemieux, a four-time Stanley Cup champion and one of the greatest big-game players in hockey history,” NHL commissioner Gary Bettman shared in a statement.
Claude Lemieux, who This week he carried the Canadiens torch in Montreal at the Bell Center during game three of the Eastern Conference finals against the Carolina Hurricanes, he won the Stanley Cup with the Canadians (1986), New Jersey Devils (1995 and 2000) and Colorado Avalanche (1996).

The myth of the NHL was found by one of his children in the warehouse of the furniture store owned by his family in Florida around 3 a.m., after his relatives became concerned because he had not returned home.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Claude Lemieux was found dead in his Andros Home furniture store and? His agents went to the premises after a suicide attempt.
“It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the unexpected passing of our co-founder, Claude Lemieux. Claude was an extraordinary person whose vision, generosity and big heart shaped not only Andros, but also the many relationships and lives that surrounded him. Our main goal is to support the Lemieux family in these difficult times. We appreciate everyone’s love and support,” the Andros Home company posted.
