Texas Southern snapped its five-game shedding streak Saturday, defeating Southern 24-21 at Reliant Stadium.
Miguel Arana’s 46-yard discipline objective as time expired gave the Tigers (2-5, 1-3 SWAC) their first win since beating North Carolina Central of their season opener.

Jacob Washington, Athean Renfro and Cam’Ron McCoy every ran for touchdowns as TSU constructed a 21-7 lead halfway by means of the third quarter. Renfro completed with a team-high 135 yards on 23 carries, whereas McCoy added 71 on 16 rushes.
