Mumbai Indians mustn’t promote Hardik Pandya cheaply
Mumbai Indians can be promoting Hardik Pandya at a low level in his worth, and that alone ought to make them cautious of a fast deal. His 206 runs and 4 wickets in IPL 2026 had been a transparent step down from the 224 runs and 14 wickets of the yr earlier than.
The market additionally appears thinner than the headlines counsel. Ashwin himself referred to as a transfer to Chennai a protracted shot; the reported rift with Zaheer Khan complicates it, and the talks with Rajasthan have stalled. Kolkata and Lucknow have been linked, however no report reveals a franchise prepared to satisfy Mumbai's worth.
Mumbai even have a head coach to nominate and a captaincy query to settle earlier than November 15. Making a serious name on a senior participant earlier than the brand new coach is in place can be a danger, and a affected person method, even one which retains Hardik for one more season, appears the safer path.
