The s and s have an in depth historical past that features a variety of dangerous blood, and that spilled over within the first half of their Week 5 matchup at Lumen Area.
Within the second quarter, with the s up 14-10, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold scrambled for 5 yards and ran out of bounds. Nevertheless, as he obtained to the sidelines, 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw hit him down.
Greenlaw was flagged for the late hit, and after the play, he was surrounded by the Seahawks on the sideline and headbutted Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV. Because of this, Greenlaw was ejected from the sport.
That was a dumb choice by Greenlaw, and it leaves the 49ers skinny at linebacker, leaving them with Fred Warner, Jaden Dugger, Garret Wallow and Luke Gifford within the second-level of their protection.
