Marco Bezzecchi made an announcement because the rider to beat in qualifying by setting the tempo within the last Indonesian MotoGP follow session.
The session was purple flagged after a highside for Toprak Razgatlioglu, and though the Turkish rider walked away holding his collarbone he returned to trace motion.
After the riders returned to the monitor, it was as soon as once more the Aprilia riders who took cost, with Bezzecchi main the way in which with a 1:29.560s lap time.
Bezzecchi would stay the quickest rider on the flag, with Raul Fernandez his nearest challenger in second 0.174s additional behind.
Marc Marquez improved late on to finish the highest three, as Fabio Di Giannantonio took fourth over championship chief Jorge Martin in fifth.
Pedro Acosta was simply over half a second behind Bezzecchi’s greatest laptime in sixth, with Ai Ogura the quickest of the riders going via Q1 in seventh.
The Gresini riders have been eighth and tenth respectively as Fermin Aldeguer acquired forward of Alex Marquez, whereas Francesco Bagnaia slotted in between the pair in ninth place.
Alex Rins was prime Yamaha in eleventh forward of Enea Bastianini in twelfth and Fabio Quartararo in thirteenth, with Franco Morbidelli taking the flag in 14th.
Johann Zarco was marginally faster than LCR Honda team-mate Diogo Moreira because the pair took fifteenth and sixteenth over Luca Marini.
Brad Binder completed 18th, in the meantime Razgatlioglu confirmed he had dislocated and popped again in his shoulder within the crash, briefly returning to the monitor as he took nineteenth.
Maverick Vinales took twentieth forward of Jack Miller and Aleix Espargaro, who rounded out the standings in twenty first and twenty second.
