Many former s are struggling within the NFL, whereas there’s a gentle on the finish of the tunnel for a couple of different USC alumni in professional soccer. Drake s star has continued to rise, and so long as Michael Penix Jr. can keep upright, London will head towards a profession season.
Right here is my breakdown of how some former USC soccer gamers fared within the fifth week of the NFL season:
Contents
Makai Lemon
Makai Lemon, with extra alternative, nonetheless didn’t have his breakout recreation. His manufacturing continues to be enhancing, however he has but to match the usual for the place he was drafted. 5 catches for 43 yards, his finest manufacturing for the season, is just not adequate for a first-round decide.
Marshawn Lloyd
Very becoming that Marshawn Lloyd saved his finest efficiency for the Chicago Bears. He embraced the most important rivalry within the NFL this previous week, bringing the Packers' run recreation again to life. Lloyd had 10 carries for simply 31 yards, however he completed the sport with 2 speeding touchdowns. Each of his touchdowns set the tone and confirmed off his physicality. The Packers' run recreation continues to be very regarding, however Lloyd did sufficient to assist the Packers humble their rival.
Woody Marks
No David Montgomery, and now Woody Marks has his shot to run issues similar to final yr. For the primary time in a few video games, the run recreation for the Texans truly had a pulse. Woody Marks had 15 carries for 62 yards and 23 yards receiving on 4 catches.
Kamari Rasmey
Kamari Ramsey is getting an increasing number of concerned every week. This previous week, he tallied 3 tackles towards the Titans. His function is rising, and fairly quickly the Texans' secondary could have 2 key contributors from USC.
Tuli Tuipulotu
Tuli didn’t end with a sack, however as a substitute he made an impression in every single place else on the stat sheet. Tuli completed the sport with 4 tackles and a cross deflection. His disruption opened the door for different teammates to get sack manufacturing, like Akheem Mesidor.
Amon-Ra St. Brown
St. Brown had a modest manufacturing day for his normal. He was nonetheless an enormous a part of the Lions' thrilling, dominant day. St. Brown had 6 catches for 69 yards. He might want to get again to taking part in at his normal if he needs to get again within the high 5 receiver rankings.
Uchenna Nwosu
Nwosu stuffed the stat sheet towards the 49ers. Nwosu had 4 tackles on the day, and he stays a disruptor for the s' protection.
Sam Darnold
The Seattle Seahawks got here up quick, and lots of that was in due half to Sam Darnold's efficiency. Darnold was sacked 5 instances, and he threw 2 interceptions. This was a efficiency that resembled extra of Sam Darnold's days with the New York Jets. The
Drake London
Ever since Michael Penix returned to the lineup, Drake London has carried out like a high receiver within the league. Week 5 was one other instance of that. Drake London had 7 catches for 118 yards. If Penix was capable of end the sport, the Falcons would have received, and Drake London seemingly would have had much more manufacturing. Drake London is exhibiting the league precisely what kind of receiver he’s. He put the USC s on his again this week, being the massive star from this previous weekend.
