Lando Norris edges out Kimi Antonelli as Rafael Camara makes Haas debut at F1 Sao Paulo GP FP1

Lando Norris posted the quickest lap of the opening apply session for the Method 1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix with a lap time of a 1:11.717 as Rafael Camara made his debut for Haas at Interlagos.

The McLaren driver edged newly-crowned 2026 F1 World Champion Andrea Kimi Antonelli by simply 0.082s because the chequered flag fell on FP1 at Interlagos.

Six out of the 11 groups on the grid used the session to run their necessary rookie outings with the likes of Freddie Slater, Luke Browning, Gabriel Mini, Leonardo Fornaroli, Colton Herta and Dino Beganovic getting some helpful mileage in an F1 automobile.

Mini impressed, main the rookies with the seventh quickest lap of the session. Camara, who will substitute Esteban Ocon at Haas from 2027, obtained an early taster of a full Grand Prix weekend expertise, making his debut instead of the Frenchman for his dwelling race.

The 21-year-old completed 18th for the Banbury-based crew.
