Houston Astros name up Ronel Blanco, Jake Meyers as MLB rosters increase

The Houston Astros recalled right-hander Ronel Blanco and outfielder Jake Meyers from Triple-A Sugar Land with rosters increasing to twenty-eight gamers on Tuesday.

Blanco was recalled to begin Tuesday’s recreation in opposition to the Chicago White Sox. Blanco made his season debut July 20 in his return from elbow surgical procedure and made 5 appearances with a 7.71 ERA earlier than being optioned to Triple-A.

Meyers, the Astros’ opening-day middle fielder, was despatched to Triple-A in early July. He has a .213 common and .594 OPS in 54 major-league video games this season and provides outfield depth for the Astros, who added middle fielder Daulton Varsho on the commerce deadline.
