The Brewers don’t have to be one of many groups making a kind of gives. Having Bauers again for one season can be nice, as a result of if he’s unable to duplicate his profession yr, they’d be away from him. There’s a probability that his 2026 season finally ends up being one thing like Trent Grisham’s 2025 season.
Each group might want to resolve whether or not they imagine Bauers has lastly discovered the massive leagues along with his new strategy to the sport or if final season was a fluke. So far as conserving Bauers previous subsequent season, the Brewers haven’t any must. Not solely have they got Andrew Fischer, Blake Burke and Luke Adams able to taking part in first base knocking on the door of the massive leagues, however in addition they have Andrew Vaughn who could possibly be a possible possibility previous subsequent season.
Bauers will likely be costly to maintain on a multi-year deal, and will actually block some prospects the group views fondly. The Brewers shouldn’t change the way in which they do enterprise simply because they gained the World Collection.
Bauers was an ideal participant for them, and his efforts will not be forgotten. Finally, bringing him again for another yr will not damage their long-term plans, and it’ll decrease the harm if his breakout proves to be a fluke.
