The USC s males's basketball group welcomes a roster that has a shot at Large Ten title rivalry this season. Expertise won’t be the difficulty this season, and the Trojans have the roster deep sufficient to deal with accidents. One query to comply with this season: Who would be the lead man?
My scorching take of the week is that the s' males's basketball group's factors chief this season shall be Alijah Arenas. Arenas enters the 12 months absolutely wholesome, with no different distractions. That was not the case for him his freshman season.
This Trojans group has a extra proficient roster, and there are plenty of mouths to feed. Nevertheless, that may solely profit Arenas. Groups will be unable to single him out due to his teammates. Having Rodney Rice by his facet will even make sure that Arenas has appears to be like he can make the most of. Together with different dominant gamers within the lineup always.
Within the first exhibition sport, Arenas confirmed he labored on his sport a ton this offseason. He had 17 factors and shot 7-for-15. He regarded extraordinarily assured in opposition to North Carolina. He regarded identical to he did in February final season, when he had 3 straight 20-point performances. His ascension and improvement will take the Trojans very far this season.
Final 12 months he averaged 14.1 factors and a couple of.1 assists per contest. This season, he’ll common 20 factors and 5 assists per sport. His playmaking will enhance immensely with him having higher supporting castmates. He will even be the man the Trojans look to down the stretch to make the massive pictures. Along with his improved manufacturing, he’ll present faculty basketball that he is among the greatest gamers within the nation. That can lead to him being a prospect extremely coveted within the upcoming draft.
